Experticket takes part in the University of Valencia's X Tourism Forum

On September 26, to mark International Tourism Day, the University of Valencia's Faculty of Economics hosted the 10th Tourism Forum, a forum for debate and reflection on the main challenges facing the sector.

In this edition, our Sales Director, Jorge Mira Ucles, took part in the round table "Is being smart sustainable? Innovative solutions for the transformation of tourism", alongside leading representatives from the worlds of business and education.

Innovation and sustainability in ticketing

During his talk, Jorge explained how Experticket is working to make ticketing technology a key tool in the transition to more sustainable, inclusive and intelligent tourism. Among the solutions presented were

  • Online presales, using dynamic pricing to forecast attendance and boost distribution through API connections with major sales portals.
  • Access and capacity control with self-assigned seats, reducing queues and improving the visitor experience.
  • Digital ticketing, enabling some parks to reduce paper use by up to 80%, supported by apps that suggest itineraries or manage event bookings without the need for physical cards.
  • Season pass with digital identification.
  • Intelligent session/activity allocation system, based on schedules and time parameters of distance between events, taking travel into account to enhance the visitor experience.
  • Use of data for sustainability, applied to planning opening hours, optimizing human resources and adjusting lighting or air-conditioning according to actual attendance.
  • Group optimization: a single access document validating the entire group.

A bridge to the academic community

At Experticket, we are in constant contact with the academic community, convinced that sharing our practical knowledge and industry experience is a valuable source of learning for future tourism professionals.

Participation in forums such as this reinforces our commitment to technological innovation applied to tourism, and encourages us to continue developing solutions that contribute to a more sustainable, efficient and people-friendly sector.
